Nyvah is a self-reflection and wellbeing app. Your trust matters more to us than anything else in this document. The short version: your data is used to run the app for you, and for nothing else. We do not sell it, share it for advertising, or use it to track you.
Account: a username, a password (stored only as a cryptographic hash - we cannot read it), and optionally an email address used for password resets.
Wellbeing data you enter: mood and stress check-ins, conversations with the Nyvah coach, saved reflections, journal entries, and - if you use the Family feature - notes you log about your child's moments.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, advertising identifiers, or analytics about your behavior outside the app.
Solely to provide Nyvah's features: showing your history and insights, giving the coach context from your recent check-ins, and sending the one daily reminder you may choose to enable. We do not sell your data, show ads, or share your information with data brokers.
Messages you send to the coach are processed by Nyvah's own hosted AI model. If our model is unavailable, messages may be processed by Anthropic's Claude API as a fallback; Anthropic does not use API data to train its models. Your coach conversations are never used to build advertising profiles.
Nyvah accounts are for adults. Family logs are written by you - the parent or caregiver - about your child, and are visible only to your account and to caregivers you explicitly link with a share code you control.
All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed with PBKDF2. Data is stored on servers hosted in the United States.
Your data is kept while your account exists so your history and insights keep working. You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings in the app, or by emailing us at [email protected] - deletion is permanent and processed within 30 days.
Nyvah is a self-reflection tool, not a substitute for professional mental health care. If a message suggests a crisis, the app shows vetted crisis resources (such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the US). Nyvah does not alert third parties.
If this policy changes, the current version will always be at this address with an updated effective date.
